MISTER SUPRANATIONAL 2019: AT THE HOMESTRETCH (CONCLUSION)

SLOVAKIA – Tomáš Kucuk.  He’s not as stunning as his predecessor, but e’s still handsome, and he has good communication skills.  He looks like a Top 20 shoo-in with a play for the Top 10.

SOUTH AFRICA – Rushil Jina.  He has a scruffy cuteness, but his main aces are his communication skills and outgoing personality. But would that be enough for him to make the cut?

SPAIN – Manuel Quesada  With his saucy flamenco dance, he won the special award for Talent.  In real-world terms, he could be considered as handsome but we’ve seen more gorgeous men coming from this country–for instance, Enrique Cavill Daniel Torres–oh, I miss that guy so much, and am wondering what if he were sent to this pageant instead.

SURINAME – Artly Voorburg.  He could be a surprise in the Top 20 as he has a bright outgoing personality and strong communication skills.  Yes, looks-wise he could be considered one of the weaker links, but then again, a countryman of his got away with it an made the cut two years ago.

SWITZERLAND – Rafael Caria.  He has an undeniably swarthy handsomeness, but he’s not that strong of a communicator.  Would his good looks still secure him a slot in the Top 20?

THAILAND – Tong Chanchai.  I actually find him very appealing, but I’m not sure if his communication skills are sufficient enough to win over the judges and make the cut.  Not that he’s weak, but I’m still on-the-fence on his prospects winning over the judges in this pageant.  I think he’s a possibility.

UNITED KINGDOM – Walter Chahwanda.  He’s another one who has oodes of personality and strong communication skills.  His profession as a preacher could resonate with the religious Poles and he made an impression with his singing talent during the Talent competition.  Let’s see if his strengths in the personality department would be enough to catapult him to the Top 20.

UNITED STATES – Nate Crnkovich.  This blond emergency room nurse and part-time model of Croatian-Polish descent has this clean-cut Midwestern persona that could be great catnip for the judges in this pageant.  Though he’s now basedin Los Angeles, he was born and raised in Nebraska, and his American heartland persona made his Latino peers nickname him “Capitan America“, and I do agree with them.  Speaking of Nebraska, it made me think of Lady Gaga’s 2011 hit song “You and I” as she constantly reference that state in her lyrics.  He seems poised to break the mold of the bevy of scruffy winners of the past three years.

VENEZUELA – Leonardo Carrero.  His predecessor missed the cut, but this guy is poised to bring his pageant powerhouse back to its lofty status as his charisma is off-the-charts.  If it weren’t for teh presence of PERU and USA, I would’ve said he could clinch a second win for his country, but those two seem to be very formidable.

VIETNAM – Trần Mạnh Khang.  In the Supra-Man chat, he showcased his culture by wearing a male ao dai.  He showcased an outgoing personality and charm that his Top 20 prospects seem very secure.

MISTER SUPRANATIONAL 2019: AT THE HOMESTRETCH (PART 3)

MEXICO – Gustavo Dousset.  Like BRAZIL, he has three formidable predecessors to follow, most especially the inaugural winner of this pageant three years ago.  He cannot be considered conventionally handsome, but he has a sexy buffness and a bright spark of personality–he won Mr. Friendship–that would help him at least sustain this country’s streak of Top 20 finishes.

MOLDOVA – Giovanni Cretu.  He has an intriguing background as he had a five-year stint being part of the legendary French Legionnaires.  Would his intriguing backstory win over the judges and help him make the Top 20?

.MONTENEGRO – Stefan Vukmanović.  He’s one of the youngest contestants in this pageant as he’s only 19 years old.  But he has surprisingly good communication skills and a mature outlook that bely his age.  I’m rooting for him to succeed.

NETHERLANDS – Mitch Hart.  He made an impression on the Supra-Man chat as he has good communication skills and an outgoing personality.  But his highlight thus far is winning a special award as Best Physique after the preliminary competition as he has a buffed and beefy physique.  He seems poised to advance to the Top 10 with a possibility of finishing in the Final Five, possibily equaling or even exceeding his predecessor..

NEW CALEDONIA – Manutea Benet-Brissonet.  He’s obviously a tad raw and his physique is the least defined of this batch, even if he seems otherwise very fit.

PERU – Alonso Martínez.  There is much hype about him as the one likeliest to win it all.  I can definitely subscribe to that, as he has the swarthy scruffy great looks and charisma of previous winners alongside an outgoing personality.  But there are a couple of fellows from his continent that also are making a play for the title.

PHILIPPINES – Denver Hernandez..  He made the cut previously at Men Universe Model two years ago.  He is undeniably handsome, but I’m iffy with his interview skills as he’s a bit rough to listen to.  But then again, it kinda gave him a “bad boy” vibe and if there are more females in the preliminary judging, it could help him sustain a Top 20 streak for our country–albeit making it by the tips of his fingernails.

POLAND – Tomasz Zarzycki.  After his less-than-successful Mister International stint earlier this year, he is shinign bright here.  Scruff becomes him and he exudes an outgoing personality that he is likely to finish in teh Top Five just like his predecessor, Jakub Kucner.

PUERTO RICO – Héctor Rodríguez.  He has a lean-trim buffness, a ruddy handsomeness and an outgoing personality that he looks like a lock for the Top 20.

ROMANIA – Bogdan Nicolae Brînzoi.  This boyish-looking guy was a revelation in the Supra-Man chats by displaying an outgoing personality, great communication skills and a skill competently translating Spanish as he served as an interpreter for SPAIN.  He got this skill has he resided in that country for about 15 years.  He has this cosmopolitan man-of-the-world vibe that this pageant appreciates, and he looks poise to be ta Top 10 shoo-in, with a possible play for the Final FIve.

COMING UP:  SLOVAKIA to VIETNAM plus the “FEARFUL” FORECAST

MISTER SUPRANATIONAL 2019: AT THE HOMESTRETCH (PART 2)

ETHIOPIA – Yohanes Alemu Kifetew.  It’s hard to miss him as he has a very strikng resemblance to the late Michael Jackson.  There is alsosome angles where you see a bit of Bruno Mars mixed in–as if Bruno was dressing up to perform a Michael Jackson impersonation.  Because of the way he looks I presumed he would have a high-pitched speaking voice, so I was surprised during the final chat, when his speaking voice turns out to be at a baritone level.  Sure, the late Prince also has that vocal timbre when speaking, but I have a feeling he is incapable of singing a falsetto the way Prince does.  I think it’s unlikely he’ll make the Top 20.

Left: Michael Jackson circa 1987; Right: Bruno Mars

FRANCE – Mavryck Clavel.  There are many pageant fans who think he has secured a Top 20 spot on the basis of his boyish handsomeness.  But he seems to be on the unpolished side, so I’m not that certain of his Top 20 prospects, though it is conceivable.

INDIA – Varun Verma.  He may not have the charisma of the reigning Mister Supranational, but he still has the polished elan and flair to secure a spot in the Top 20.

INDONESIA – Enrique Dustin.  This boyish cutie may not be conventionally handsome, but I think he may make the cut with his outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and an enviably buffed physique.

JAMAICA – Rayon Davis.  Yes, he has oodles of personality and strong communication skills.  His mannerisms made me wonder, as considering he comes from a notoriously conservative country that may frown on them, and I have a feeling that it’s also the sort that the host country Poland would also not appreciate, considering they also have similarly conservative values.  I may have to say that his very presence mnakes him a brave guy.

JAPAN – Reino Shimamura.  Here is another buffed guy who has his charms even if he’s also not conventionally handsome.  He’s not as cosmopolitan as the two guys who competed in the first two editions of this pageant, so I’m not that bullish towards his Top 20 prospects.

KENYA – Priyan Solanki.  There seems to be a singificant Indian population in this predominantly black African country, hence it’s not that jarring to see this light-skinned guy representing this country.  He is astrong communicator and that could be his ticket to make the Top 20.

KOREA – Woo Chang-wook.  There are people who might find his boyish looks appealing, but even if he’s a solid communicator, I’m not bullish towards his Top20 prospects.

LAOS – Singkham Phommasone.  He may not be conventionally handsome but he has this boyish appeal with a surprisingly superbly buffed lean and sinewy physique.  I’m not sure if his appeal works for the Polish crowd, but he deserves some compliments..

MALTA – Yosef Vassallo.  He exudes a low-key vibe, but he has this boy-next-door handsomeness that could be his ticket to make the Top 20.

COMING UP:  MEXICO to ROMANIA
